Ushers and greeters welcome parishioners and visitors at weekend Masses
Eucharistic Ministers
Extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, commonly referred to as a Eucharistic ministers are lay people who serve the Catholic Church by distributing Holy Communion during Mass and bringing it to the homebound.
Lectors
Lectors are also called readers, or proclaimers of the Word. A lector is the person who proclaims the first or second reading at Mass. This person also may lead the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass.
Liturgy Committee
The Parish Liturgy Committee meets with the priests and music director to prepare and coordinate our parish liturgical celebrations for the seasons of Lent, Advent and Christmas.
Ministers of Care
Ministers of Care are specially trained lay people who take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound.
Music Ministry
Music ministers include cantors, members of the adult and children choirs, and musicians.
"Among the many signs and symbols used by the Church to celebrate its faith, music is of preeminent importance.  As sacred song united to words it forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy."  (Constitution on Sacred Liturgy #112)
Catholic Faith Connection
Members of the Catholic Faith Connection plan and coordinate the parish evangelization activities.
Lay Leadership
Parish Advisory Council: An advisory board that meets with the pastor and addresses all aspects of pastoral life in the parish.
Finance Council: The Finance Council reviews parish finances, including budgets, revenue and expenses, and reports the financial status of the parish to the parishioners.
Parish Life: The Parish Life Commission plans events that build community through social, fundraising and community events.
Margaret Manor Outreach
St. Joseph hosts monthly social activities for the residents of Margaret Manor Nursing Home.

Social Services Ministry
The Social Services Ministry has been in operation for more than forty years. The Saturday morning Food Pantry provides food for more than 300 families a month and offers clothing for those in need. The Christmas Giving Program provides Christmas dinner and gifts donated by members of the parish.
